Dr. Asa Eger – a historian whose research interests include Islamic and Byzantine history and archaeology, the eastern Mediterranean, frontiers and borderlands, and environmental history – is UNCG’s 2022 Thomas Undergraduate Research Mentor Awardee in the tenured faculty category.
