Undergraduate researchers from across the country will gather in Grand Rapids, Michigan, April 12–14, 2027, for NCUR, the National Conference on Undergraduate Research

What Is NCUR?

NCUR is a premier conference celebrating undergraduate research across disciplines. It gives students the opportunity to present their work to a diverse audience of fellow undergraduate researchers, mentors, and higher education professionals.

Whether a student’s project is complete or still in progress, NCUR provides a national platform to share ideas, receive feedback, build confidence, and connect with a community of researchers and mentors.

Presenting at NCUR can help undergraduate researchers:

  • Build communication skills by sharing their research with audiences beyond their own institution or discipline.
  • Strengthen their professional profile through a national conference presentation and inclusion of their accepted abstract in the NCUR Proceedings.
  • Connect with peers and mentors from institutions across the country.
  • Explore graduate school and career opportunities by engaging with exhibitors at the NCUR Future Fair.
  • Celebrate their accomplishments and see their work as part of a larger national research community.

NCUR also offers a variety of presentation formats. Students can submit for oral presentations, poster presentations, films, visual arts displays, or performances.

Abstracts may describe completed or in-progress projects and must be no more than 300 words. Students may submit up to two abstracts as a primary presenter, and each abstract may include up to two co-presenters.

Abstract submissions are open now through December 4, 2026
